Privacy Policy

This page explains what details and photos you send us when you contact Select Roofing Services through this website, why we need them, how long we keep them, and your rights. Last updated: 15 October 2026.

Who we are

Select Roofing Services, 19 Duke Street, Formby, Merseyside, L37 4AN. Phone 07596 884288, email selectroofingservices@hotmail.com. We are responsible for the details you send us through this website, which makes us the data controller under UK data protection law.

What we collect when you send an enquiry

• Your name and phone number.
• The service you need, the type of property, and how urgent the problem is.
• Your postcode, if you give it.
• A short description of the problem, if you write one.
• Up to three photos, if you send them. Photos of your roof can show your property and its surroundings, and sometimes people. You can leave them out.
• A record that you agreed to this policy, and the page you sent your enquiry from.

Why we use it and our legal basis

• To reply to your enquiry, prioritise urgent problems, and arrange a visit or a written quotation. Our legal basis is steps taken at your request before entering a contract (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)), and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries for our roofing business (Article 6(1)(f)).
• Ticking the consent box is your agreement for us to use these details to respond to you. You can withdraw that agreement at any time. This does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.

Photos

Photos help us understand the problem before we visit. Your browser resizes them before they are sent. We will not publish photos you send us on our website or on social media without asking you first.

Who we share it with

• Netlify, which hosts this website and stores form submissions for us, including any photos.
• WhatsApp, if you contact us that way. WhatsApp is run by Meta, and those messages are handled under its own privacy policy.

We do not sell your details or use them for marketing lists.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries and photos only as long as we need them to reply to you and to deal with any quotation or job that follows. After that we delete them.

Cookies and other services

This website does not use analytics or advertising cookies. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which may log your IP address with Google. Links to Checkatrade, Google and WhatsApp open those services, which have their own privacy policies.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your details, ask us to correct or delete them, ask us to restrict or stop using them, and ask us to pass them to you or to someone else. To do this, contact us using the details above. We will reply within one month, as UK data protection law requires.

Complaints

Please contact us first so we can put things right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
